Hi! I'm Allyson
I’ve been taking solo trips since I first went to Japan by myself almost ten years ago. Back then, I was terrified at the thought of traveling alone, but I ultimately decided that I didn’t want fear to hold me back from seeing the world and living the life I wanted to live. I ended up loving solo travel and now it’s my favorite way to explore the world!
I know first-hand that while solo travel can be intimidating, it can also be incredibly empowering. My first solo trip was life-changing and the experience taught me that I was capable of much more than I had ever given myself credit for. Now, I want more people to feel confident taking the trip of their dreams without waiting around for someone to join them. That's why I created Her Planet. Solo travel is exciting, enriching, and empowering, and it should feel accessible to everyone. It's your planet too, and you shouldn't feel held back from exploring it!
Solo Travel Made Easy
At Her Planet, we do extensive research for each travel guide we produce. For example, we don’t just list our favorite restaurants in a given city, we list the best restaurants that also have the right vibe and seating options to make dining solo comfortable and fun. Each itinerary is designed with the geography of the city in mind, while prioritizing activities and events that we find to be ideal when you’re traveling on your own.
Whether you’re an obsessive planner who wants to know what they’ll do every day of the trip, or you just want to have some solid solo options in your back pocket, our guides are for you. They’re easy to peruse and digest - no unnecessary clutter, just the information you need.
SAFE SOLO TRAVEL
We don’t suggest any places that we haven’t personally felt safe and comfortable enjoying solo
